The Secret to Longer-Lasting Roses
Share
Roses are timeless and elegant, but keeping them fresh requires a little care. Over the years, we’ve discovered a few tricks that consistently help our customers’ roses stay vibrant for days.
We always trim stems at a 45-degree angle under running water, which helps roses absorb water more efficiently. Any leaves that would sit below the waterline are removed to prevent bacteria growth. Temperature also matters — we recommend keeping roses in cool areas away from direct sunlight or heating vents.
Handling is another important factor. We remind our clients to avoid touching petals too much, as oils from hands can damage the delicate surfaces. Finally, floral preservatives are a lifesaver. Even a small amount of store-bought or homemade solution can extend the life of your roses dramatically.
With these tips, your roses will remain stunning, perfect for weddings, gifts, or holiday décor.
